For the past several months, I’ve been maintaining a pretty rigorous workout schedule. I schedule workouts Mon, Wed, Fri (Tues/Thurs are bootcamp classes and Sat are sessions with my trainer – who also happens to be my wife). I get most of my workouts from crossfit.com or from my wife.
There are a group of 3-4 of us who get together and do the workouts in the morning, but a lot of other people have asked me about the workouts, so I’m going to try to start posting them the day before. Here’s tomorrow’s workout:
5 rounds for time of:
25 Push Press (75 lbs)
50 Double Unders
If you’re not sure what the move is in any of the workouts, you can usually look them up and find a video on YouTube.
Push press starts with the weight on a barbell resting across your chest and pressing it up over your head until your elbows are locked out. Scale down the weight as needed.
Double Unders are jump rope repetitions where the rope passes under your feet twice in the same jump. Each successful jump over the rope twice counts as one rep.
If you can’t do double unders, substitute 3 single unders for every double under.
Good luck. This should be a pretty tough routine. If you do the workout, post your time in the comments.
UPDATE: Finished the workout in 20:48. Push presses got tough after the first round – double unders really take the wind out of you!
